What is Crown Club?

Crown Club is a Service Project of the JA of Tipton County. Its purpose is to provide high school young women an opportunity to grow through service to others in our community. The program will promote leadership skills with our youth and will instill in them an appreciation for volunteering. Junior Auxiliary members will be present at all meetings as well as all projects. What are the requirements of Crown Club?

- Members must attend 6 of the 9 Monthly Chapter Meetings
- Members must complete 12 service hours
- Members must complete 2 finance hours
- Members must pay yearly dues of $35 (This includes your dues, chapter t-shirt, and notebook)

Who can Join Crown Club?

Prospective members shall be considered eligible for membership if they:
- Attend school in Tipton County
- Will be entering the 10th or 11th grade
- Has a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75
- Submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher or other non-family member with their application
- Possess leadership ability, a positive attitude and a willingness to work

To be a member of a group of girls with the goal of serving the community, who throughout the year make lasting friends, memories and touch the hearts of everyone whom they help.

Objective:

The objective of this organization shall be to foster interest among its members in the social, economic, educational, civic, and cultural conditions about them; to develop leadership and character; to prepare for good citizenship; and to demonstrate concern for others.

Policy:

The Crown Club shall be an affiliate of the Junior Auxiliary of Tipton County, and its policies shall be in harmony with the policies of that chapter. All activities and projects of the Crown Club shall be subject to the approval of the advisor who is an active or associate Junior Auxiliary of Tipton County member. This advisor shall be directly responsible to the local Junior Auxiliary of Tipton County chapter and shall report on a monthly basis all activities and projects of the Crown Club.

Membership:

A prospective candidate may be considered for membership if she:
1. Has been a resident of her community for at least six (6) months.
2. Has an overall 2.75 grade point average or above.
3. Has been approved by the Junior Auxiliary of Tipton County chapter.

To maintain a membership in good standing, a member must
1. Attend 2/3 of the regular meetings
2. Pay annual dues ($35)
3. Complete the work hours deemed necessary by the club
4. Maintain an overall 2.75 grade point average or above

Meetings:

Regular monthly meetings will be held at a time appointed by the advisor. One hour credit shall be given for each meeting.
